This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Maintain, cultivate, and grow Wildsam's network of around 2,000 independent retail partners.
• Manage wholesale partnerships and prominent brand collaborations.
• Implement direct-to-consumer digital sales strategies.
• Oversee the complete fulfillment logistics process.
• Keep tabs on market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities in both wholesale and DTC markets.
• Develop launch strategies for new Wildsam titles.
• Work in collaboration with operational and creative teams on the ongoing marketing of over 70 titles.
• Broaden the Wildsam wholesale network.
• Achieve sales targets across wholesale and DTC channels.
• Establish and maintain relationships with wholesale accounts throughout the United States.
• Manage the entire wholesale order lifecycle and establish protocols to enhance customer experience and fulfillment accuracy.
• Monitor sales performance and provide reports on sales trends, order frequency, inventory levels, and new account acquisition.
• Supervise the website, email channels, and brand partner strategies for the DTC channel.
• Boost online sales, enhance conversion rates, and optimize customer experiences.
• Direct DTC marketing strategies, campaigns, and channel investments.
• Forecast monthly and yearly DTC sales targets and report on performance.
• Lead and refine logistics and inventory strategies, including stock management and reordering processes.
• Identify and implement operational improvements in order management, account management, and customer service.
• Coordinate with logistics and inventory teams to ensure efficient order fulfillment.
• Proven experience in managing and expanding a large retail partner network of approximately 2,000 accounts.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with independent bookstores and specialty retailers.
• Experience in liaising with major brand and sponsorship partners.
• Background in driving website sales and enhancing conversion funnels.
• Experience in managing email and social marketing collaborations.
• Proven track record in setting DTC sales targets.
• Hands-on familiarity with order management lifecycles, stock level management, forecasting, inventory reordering, and external 3PL/fulfillment vendor management.
• Proficient in tracking sales KPIs, order frequency, acquisition metrics, inventory turnover, and channel performance reporting.
• Strong alignment with culture, travel, and the book publishing industry.
• Passion for independent retail ecosystems.
• Ability to independently develop launch strategies for over 70 book titles while managing daily fulfillment workflows.
• Comfort in interfacing directly with senior leadership across creative, editorial, marketing, and operations teams.
• Capability to manage back-end logistics and customer service workflows while maintaining high operational quality.
