Account Associate I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Act as a primary contact for WM's small and medium business clients.

• Sustain and expand the team's portfolio of clients.

• Handle incoming call inquiries and engage in proactive outreach to customers.

• Work to prevent customer cancellations and secure updated contract agreements.

• Implement retention strategies and apply negotiation techniques.

• Communicate effectively and persuasively to influence customer decisions.

• Employ change management processes throughout sales activities.

• Dedicate time to retention and acquisition objectives, requirements, and opportunities.

• Investigate alternatives to establish mutually beneficial sales agreements.

• Engage in both individual and collaborative responsibilities within a team context.

• Navigate various systems, sales tools, and processes while accurately recording customer interactions.

• Utilize Salesforce.com/Customer Relationship Management and pricing tools with precision and consistency.

• Review reports and manage general administrative tasks as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (from an accredited institution).

• Minimum of 1 year experience in business-to-business account management, inside sales (phone-based sales), and/or customer service that includes a sales element.

• Must live within 50 miles of the Baltimore, MD, or Pittsburgh, PA, metropolitan area.

• Must possess, or be willing to obtain, a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative if necessary for business travel or access to federal properties.

• Capability to perform repetitive motions.

• Good eye/hand/foot coordination.

• Ability to sit, talk, and hear effectively.
