This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the main point of contact for enrolled patients from the time of enrollment through the initiation and continuation of therapy.
• Perform needs assessments for patients that address coverage, affordability, and logistical challenges.
• Coordinate care among healthcare providers, caregivers, and various care locations.
• Ensure accountability for the complete patient progression and resolve any access obstacles.
• Offer field-based expertise regarding reimbursement, coverage pathways, and payer policies affecting Pfizer therapies.
• Assist with prior authorization, step edits, coding, and specific requirements from payers.
• Elevate and coordinate the resolution of reimbursement issues.
• Provide compliant education on reimbursement processes, coverage pathways, patient access resources, hub services, enrollment procedures, and financial assistance programs.
• Develop and implement access strategies at the account level.
• Identify systemic barriers and enhance workflows to minimize therapy initiation delays.
• Engage payer organizations to clarify coverage policies and resolve access issues.
• Facilitate communication among healthcare provider offices, payers, and patient support programs.
• Share insights with internal stakeholders regarding payer trends, reimbursement challenges, and access restrictions.
• Convert field insights into recommendations for cross-functional strategies.
• Collaborate with Sales, Key Account Managers, Marketing, and Patient Solutions teams.
• Take part in account planning and coordinated patient-centric access strategies.
• Report directly to the Regional Director of Patient Access & Reimbursement.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical or related customer-facing roles; 9 years if holding a Master's, BSN, or RPH degree.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in Specialty Pharma.
• Required experience in Reimbursement and Access.
• Preferred experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biopharmaceutical sectors, Provider/Carrier Networks, or Government Agencies.
• Experience in the Cardiology field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Reimbursement, Government Payment Systems, Provider/Carrier Networks, Co-Pay Assistance Programs, and Specialty policy dynamics within the Rare Disease Community.
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
• Proven skills in strategic planning and successful execution of plans.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to collaborate across internal boundaries with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a highly regulated environment while adhering to strict company compliance guidelines and procedures.
• Proven collaboration experience with diverse customers, clients, and stakeholders.
• Training and experience in responsible business communication, both written and verbal.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
• Proximity to a major airline hub is necessary.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. by any employer.
• Permanent work authorization in the United States is required.
• U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available at this time or in the future.
• Ability to operate a Pfizer company vehicle and travel by air regularly.
• Approximately 30% travel required; travel to healthcare provider offices as needed.
