This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +5 more countries.
• Develop module content for the FinTech Engineering Specialization program at Jala University
• Create laboratory exercises
• Design a reference implementation
• Construct an evaluation harness
• Compile an instructor's guide
• Experience working on a fraud/risk team at a fintech company operating at scale (e.g., Nubank, Mercado Pago, Rappi, or similar)
• Publicly available writing samples that demonstrate technical explanations (such as documentation, workshop materials, book chapters, or open-source projects recognized for their documentation), showcasing the ability to write to publication standards
• Strong reproducibility practices (including pinned dependencies, containers, seeded runs, and documented decoding parameters)
• Proficient written English
• Over 5 years of experience as a software engineer
• More than 3 years of experience in FinTech, payments, or financial services
• Proficiency in Go
• Experience with TypeScript / Node.js
• Knowledge of real-time fraud pipelines: streaming, rules + ML with latency SLAs
• Familiarity with integration of fraud providers (such as Cybersource, ClearSale, Fingerprint, Seon)
• Understanding of ML from the engineer's perspective when integrating models, including feature engineering
• Experience with Feature Stores
• Knowledge of KYC/AML, sanctions and PEP lists, COAF or UIF reporting
• Experience with treasury reconciliation (proof of reserves)
