AAC Content Reviewer – Traditional Chinese, Mandarin

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Edit and assess AAC materials for cultural accuracy, language and grammar usage, as well as regional relevance.

• Modify phrasing, vocabulary, and content to align with local usage norms and real-life communication requirements.

• Offer expert evaluation and insights from the viewpoint of the targeted regional AAC community.

• Work closely with an internal AAC Content Developer throughout the main project phase.

• Ensure consistency with the established evidence-based language methodology.

• Provide prompt feedback and revisions during weekly remote review cycles.

• Engage in two scheduled weekly sessions with a dedicated AAC Content Developer during the initial three weeks.

• Commit to up to 50 hours over an 8-week project, with approximately 15 hours per week during the first three weeks, along with flexible hours thereafter.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).

• AAC Specialist, or a professional background in Speech-Language Pathology, Education, or Occupational Therapy.

• Native speaker of Traditional Chinese - Mandarin, with considerable residence in the target region (preferably including schooling years).

• Fluent written proficiency in Traditional Chinese - Mandarin.

• Proficiency in English.

• Dependable communication practices and responsiveness via email.

• Academic or practical background in Linguistics preferred.

• Resume or CV.

• A brief statement detailing motivation and experience with AAC.
