AAC Content Reviewer – Hmong White

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Edit and assess AAC content for cultural correctness, language and grammar accuracy, and regional applicability.

• Modify language, terminology, and content to align with local communication standards and real-world needs.

• Provide expert evaluation and insights from the perspective of the target regional AAC community.

• Work closely with an internal AAC Content Developer throughout the main project phase.

• Ensure compliance with the established evidence-based language methodology.

• Provide prompt feedback and revisions during weekly remote review sessions.

• Engage in two scheduled weekly meetings with a dedicated AAC Content Developer over the initial three weeks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).

• AAC Specialist, or a professional background in Speech-Language Pathology, Education, or Occupational Therapy.

• Native speaker of Hmong White, with significant residency in the target area, ideally including school years.

• Proficient written command of Hmong White.

• Fluent in English.

• Consistent communication skills and promptness via email.

• Academic or practical experience in Linguistics is preferred.

• Availability for up to 50 hours over an 8-week timeframe.

• Anticipated commitment of approximately 15 hours per week during the first three weeks.

• Availability for two scheduled weekly meetings with a dedicated AAC Content Developer during the initial three weeks.

• Independent contractor responsible for managing personal taxes.
