3rd Party Collections Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +30 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee inbound and outbound collection calls to negotiate resolutions for overdue accounts

• Arrange payment plans and settlement agreements tailored to individual borrowers' financial situations

• Employ skip-tracing tools and investigative methods to find borrowers and pertinent assets

• Manage designated account portfolios and prioritize collection efforts to optimize recovery potential

• Strive towards personal and departmental performance objectives

• Maintain precise and thorough account documentation

• Provide professional and respectful customer interactions while handling challenging conversations

• Ensure adherence to relevant federal, state, and local collection laws, as well as company policies and regulatory standards

• Keep consistent communication with management and team members while working remotely

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in third-party debt collection

• Strong skills in negotiation, persuasion, and conflict resolution

• Demonstrated ability to manage collection accounts and successfully negotiate payment plans

• Exceptional verbal communication, active listening, and telephone etiquette

• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail

• Capability to work independently while contributing to team objectives

• Professionalism, dependability, accountability, and a positive attitude

• Knowledge of relevant debt collection laws and regulations

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Ability to maintain a professional and distraction-free remote workspace suitable for confidential conversations with customers

• Reliable internet connection sufficient to fulfill job responsibilities

• Capacity to remain available, responsive, and productive during scheduled working hours

• Must live and work in an LCS-approved state

• Experience in a high-volume collections environment

• Familiarity with skip-tracing tools and collection management systems

• Experience in negotiating settlements and payment arrangements

• Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish

• Previous experience consistently meeting or exceeding collection targets
