3rd Party Collections Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +30 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee both inbound and outbound collection calls to negotiate solutions for delinquent accounts.

• Create payment arrangements and settlement agreements tailored to each borrower's financial situation.

• Employ skip-tracing tools and investigative methods to locate borrowers and pertinent assets.

• Manage designated account portfolios, prioritizing collection efforts to optimize recovery opportunities.

• Strive to achieve both individual and departmental performance objectives.

• Keep precise and thorough documentation of accounts.

• Provide professional and respectful customer interactions while handling challenging conversations.

• Ensure adherence to all relevant federal, state, and local collection laws, as well as company policies and regulatory standards.

• Maintain regular communication with management and team members while working remotely.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in third-party debt collection.

• Strong skills in negotiation, persuasion, and conflict resolution.

• Demonstrated ability to manage collection accounts effectively and negotiate successful payment arrangements.

• Exceptional verbal communication, active listening, and telephone manners.

• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.

• Capability to work independently while contributing to team objectives.

• Professionalism, dependability, accountability, and a positive demeanor.

• Familiarity with applicable debt collection laws and regulations.

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Ability to maintain a professional, distraction-free remote workspace suitable for confidential customer discussions.

• Reliable internet connection adequate for job responsibilities.

• Commitment to being available, responsive, and productive during scheduled hours.

• Must reside and work in a state approved by LCS.

• Preferred: Experience in a high-volume collections setting.

• Preferred: Knowledge of skip-tracing tools and collection management systems.

• Preferred: Experience in negotiating settlements and payment arrangements.

• Preferred: Bilingual skills in English and Spanish.

• Preferred: Previous success in consistently meeting or exceeding collection targets.
