3rd Party Collections Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +30 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee both inbound and outbound collection calls to negotiate solutions for delinquent accounts.

• Establish payment plans and settlement agreements tailored to the individual financial situations of borrowers.

• Utilize skip-tracing tools and investigative methods to track down borrowers and related assets.

• Manage designated account portfolios and prioritize collection efforts to optimize recovery chances.

• Strive towards both personal and team performance objectives.

• Keep precise and thorough documentation of account activities.

• Provide professional and courteous customer interactions while handling challenging discussions.

• Ensure adherence to relevant federal, state, and local collection regulations, as well as company policies and guidelines.

• Maintain regular communication with management and team members while working remotely.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in third-party debt collection.

• Strong skills in negotiation, persuasion, and conflict resolution.

• Demonstrated ability to manage collection accounts and successfully negotiate payment arrangements.

• Exceptional verbal communication, active listening abilities, and telephone etiquette.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Capability to work independently while also contributing to team objectives.

• Professionalism, dependability, accountability, and a positive attitude.

• Familiarity with relevant debt collection laws and regulations.

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Access to a professional, distraction-free remote workspace suitable for confidential customer discussions.

• Reliable internet connection adequate for fulfilling job responsibilities.

• Ability to remain available, responsive, and productive during scheduled work hours.

• Must reside and work in a state approved by LCS.

• Experience in a high-volume collections environment is preferred.

• Knowledge of skip-tracing tools and collection management systems is preferred.

• Experience in negotiating settlements and payment arrangements is preferred.

• Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish are preferred.

• Previous track record of consistently achieving or surpassing collection targets is preferred.
