3rd Party Collections Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +30 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee incoming and outgoing collection calls to negotiate resolutions for overdue accounts.

• Facilitate payment plans and settlement agreements tailored to the financial situations of borrowers.

• Employ skip-tracing tools and investigative methods to identify borrowers and pertinent assets.

• Manage designated account portfolios, prioritizing collection efforts to enhance recovery prospects.

• Strive to achieve both individual and departmental performance targets.

• Keep accurate and comprehensive documentation of accounts.

• Provide professional and respectful customer service while handling challenging conversations.

• Ensure adherence to relevant federal, state, and local collection laws, company policies, and regulatory standards.

• Maintain regular communication with management and colleagues while working remotely.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in third-party debt collection.

• Strong skills in negotiation, persuasion, and conflict resolution.

• Demonstrated ability to manage collection accounts and negotiate effective payment plans.

• Exceptional verbal communication, active listening skills, and telephone etiquette.

• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives.

• Professionalism, dependability, accountability, and a positive demeanor.

• Familiarity with relevant debt collection laws and regulations.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• A professional, distraction-free remote workspace suitable for confidential discussions with customers.

• Reliable internet connection sufficient to fulfill job responsibilities.

• Capacity to remain available, responsive, and productive during scheduled work hours.

• Must reside and work in an LCS-approved state.

• Preferred: Experience in a high-volume collections environment.

• Preferred: Knowledge of skip-tracing tools and collection management systems.

• Preferred: Background in negotiating settlements and payment arrangements.

• Preferred: Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish.

• Preferred: Previous experience consistently achieving or surpassing collection targets.
