3D Draftsperson, SolidWorks

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Develop precise 3D models of parts and components utilizing SolidWorks.

• Generate comprehensive workshop and fabrication drawings for production use.

• Create drawings based on client designs, specifications, sketches, and existing documentation.

• Revise and update client drawings to meet manufacturing standards.

• Ensure that drawings include accurate dimensions, materials, tolerances, hole placements, cut-outs, folds, and other essential production details.

• Review drawings and supporting documents for precision and completeness prior to release for production.

• Maintain control over drawing revisions and clearly indicate current versions of drawings.

• Prepare production-ready drawings along with supporting files.

• Communicate with customers to clarify part specifications and drawing requirements.

• Provide technical drafting assistance to estimating and production teams.

• Identify practical enhancements to client drawings that could improve manufacturing processes or outcomes.

• Keep abreast of sheet-metal materials, manufacturing capabilities, and production constraints.

• Coordinate with supervisors and production teams to prioritize and complete tasks by deadlines.

• Uphold high standards of drawing quality, accuracy, and consistency.

• Independently manage assigned drafting tasks and priorities while contributing to the broader team objectives.

• Carry out other related duties as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge and proficiency in SolidWorks, particularly in the creation of detailed 3D models and workshop drawings, is crucial.

• Proven experience in computer-aided drafting and the capacity to interpret technical drawings, dimensions, and geometries is vital.

• Ability to accurately comprehend client drawings, specifications, and manufacturing needs is essential.

• Strong grasp of drawing revision control and the capability to maintain precise and up-to-date production drawings is necessary.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a systematic approach to producing accurate, production-ready drawings are imperative.

• Capacity to work independently, take responsibility for assigned tasks, and meet deadlines is critical.

• Strong analytical skills to identify issues in drawings or manufacturing processes are important.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills are necessary.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with customers and internal teams, are essential.

• Ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team is necessary.

• Experience in sheet-metal fabrication, manufacturing, or a similar production setting is highly valued.

• Familiarity with various metal types and the ability to interpret basic component drawings is regarded favorably.

• Relevant technical qualifications in drafting, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, are highly esteemed.

• Exposure to CNC manufacturing processes is considered advantageous.
