340B Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +17 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as a subject matter expert while overseeing all entities involved in the 340B Program.

• Enhance the integrity, compliance, optimization, and strategic development of the 340B program.

• Safeguard the integrity of the 340B split-billing software and analyze reports for improvement and efficiency.

• Integrate the clinical information system with the 340B Program, covering EMR, virtual accumulator, contract pharmacy, and administrator interfaces.

• Supervise the implementation of newly registered child sites and contract pharmacies, including owned retail pharmacies.

• Support the maintenance of accurate HRSA 340B OPAIS information for all covered entities.

• Ensure that policies and procedures are reviewed, updated, and approved as necessary.

• Manage medications administered in clinics, mixed-use areas, outpatient prescriptions, owned pharmacies, and contract 340B pharmacies.

• Provide oversight for independent external audits.

• Create, implement, and document internal 340B audits; coordinate remediation and action strategies.

• Keep a central repository of fully executed 340B contracts.

• Train, inform, and communicate policy and procedure updates to staff and program participants.

• Maintain software systems and foster relationships with external vendors.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in pharmacy procurement is essential.

• Extensive experience with the 340B program is required.

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, is required.

• Familiarity with Epic is advantageous.

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and education is necessary.

• A minimum of seven years of experience is required.

• An advanced 340B Operations Certificate must be obtained within 18 months of the hire date from Apexus.

• Must reside in one of the eligible states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, or Wisconsin.

• Capability to frequently lift/carry and push/pull objects weighing 0–25 lbs.

• Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach, and perform repetitive movements with feet/legs and hands/arms.

• Visual acuity and depth perception for near and far distances, as well as the ability to identify and differentiate colors.

• Proficient in using hearing and speech for oral communication and to hear alarms and malfunctioning machinery.

• Frequent use of a keyboard and data entry is required.

• Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, grip, and lift/carry or push/pull objects weighing 25–50 lbs.

• Rarely required to climb.
