πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Manage the administration, compliance, and strategic enhancement of the 340B Drug Pricing Program across MarinHealth Medical Center and its nine affiliated sites.

β€’ Address inquiries related to 340B activities.

β€’ Work in partnership with contract pharmacy vendors and pharmacy wholesalers.

β€’ Act as a liaison for 340B software providers and wholesale distributors.

β€’ Facilitate the installation and ongoing use of vendor software.

β€’ Troubleshoot and follow up on issues with vendors and wholesalers.

β€’ Align 340B requirements with the buyer and Pharmacy IT.

β€’ Strategize and execute the 340B program and contract pharmacy network.

β€’ Assess pharmacies, forge contractual relationships, and optimize network efficiency.

β€’ Conduct site visits to contract pharmacies when appropriate.

β€’ Maintain mapping for split-billing software and investigate billing NDC discrepancies and pricing concerns.

β€’ Examine contract pharmacy invoices and prepare invoices, savings reports, purchasing reports, and financial statements.

β€’ Evaluate policies and procedures for their effectiveness and compliance with state and federal 340B regulations.

β€’ Develop reconciliation procedures and standard operating protocols.

β€’ Generate compliance, audit, effectiveness, and regulatory reports for the Director of Compliance and Ethics.

β€’ Identify cost-saving and business enhancement opportunities.

β€’ Collaborate with various departments and sites to communicate improvements and encourage participation.

β€’ Lead priority 340B projects to successful completion.

β€’ Offer ongoing training, education, and communication for the 340B program.

β€’ Support the Pharmacy Director and CFO during HRSA and manufacturer audits.

β€’ Partner with IT and decision-support teams on data requirements.

β€’ Conduct continuous quality-assurance audits of contract pharmacy operations, financial transactions, and patient/provider qualifications.

β€’ Compile audit findings, reports, graphs, charts, presentations, conclusions, predictions, and recommendations.

β€’ Monitor changes that have been implemented and suggest further improvements.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ A two-year degree or higher, or anticipated completion within one year, along with five years of experience in hospital pharmacy.

β€’ Preferred two years of experience with the 340B program.

β€’ Proficient understanding of the 340B Drug Program and contract pharmacy operations.

β€’ Familiarity with 340B split-billing software and its configurations.

β€’ Two years of experience in pharmacy purchasing and inventory management or a related field.

β€’ Registered Pharmacy Technician (PHRMTECH-R) certification required upon hire.

β€’ Integrative Agitation Management (IAMTAC) certification required within 30 days of hire.

β€’ National Pharmacy Technician (PHARM-C) Certification preferred at hire.

β€’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

β€’ Strong critical-thinking abilities for analyzing the 340B program.

β€’ Capability to analyze and utilize statistical and financial report data to identify issues, trends, and exceptions.

β€’ Leadership qualities to implement organizational enhancements.

β€’ Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.

β€’ Ability to provide care/service that aligns with patient age-related physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety criteria.

β€’ Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and management of protected health information.

β€’ Strong verbal and written communication and presentation abilities.

β€’ Skills in team-building and educational instruction.

β€’ Capacity to work collaboratively with personnel of diverse educational and skill backgrounds.

β€’ Ability to serve as a team leader.

β€’ Proficient negotiation skills.

β€’ Professional interaction with internal staff, vendors, and external consultants.
