1099 Telehealth Registered Dietitian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Evaluate intake assessments, which encompass medical history, dietary habits, and lab results.

• Facilitate diet and lifestyle counseling and educational sessions through video platforms.

• Provide general advice on movement, sleep, or stress management as it pertains to nutritional care.

• Utilize Allara's nutrition training and educational resources while customizing care to fit patient needs.

• Employ motivational interviewing and behavior change strategies throughout the continuity of care.

• Work collaboratively with APRNs and MDs who are managing patients' medical needs.

• Keep accurate and current patient records.

• Commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week of patient-facing time, in addition to administrative duties.

• Complete charting and respond to patient inquiries effectively.

• Address administrative responsibilities and messages in a timely manner.

⛳️ Requirements

• Registered Dietitian with active certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

• At least 1 year of experience treating patients with complex women’s health issues (strongly preferred).

• Possess an active, unrestricted, and unencumbered state license to practice as a Registered Dietitian in at least one U.S. state.

• Capable of functioning independently as a provider with strong diagnostic judgment and critical thinking abilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on compassion and clarity.

• Demonstrated ability to establish trust and rapport with patients in a virtual environment.

• Dedication to evidence-based care grounded in current clinical research.

• Proficient in using EMR systems, text expanders, Gmail, Google Calendar, Zoom, and scheduling tools.

• Previous telehealth experience is advantageous.

• Availability for at least 80% of weekly contracted hours during required evening, Friday, and/or weekend periods.

• Capacity to work during scheduled hours in the time zone of active state license(s).
