1099 Physician – MD/DO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Perform patient intakes following a thorough evaluation conducted by a counselor.

• Oversee patients’ clinical progress during routine group counseling sessions.

• Address patient inquiries and manage medication dosages.

• Approve patient prescriptions during monthly appointments with patient panels.

• Complete documentation and reporting in the Groups EMR system within the specified timeframe.

• Emphasize medical management while utilizing Groups’ protocols and clinical systems to support patient management and ensure regulatory compliance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid, unrestricted MD/DO state license in Iowa.

• Current, individual DEA registration with an Iowa-listed address.

• At least 1 year of direct experience in prescribing Buprenorphine.

• Documentation of completion of the 8-hour training mandated by the DEA for the previous DEAX designation.

• Hospital admitting privileges are required.

• Residency in Iowa is mandatory.

• Board Certification in Addiction Medicine is preferred; candidates from other specialties with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
