1 on 1 Math Competition Tutor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide individualized online math instruction concentrating on preparation for AMC 8 and AMC 10 competitions.

• Instruct in English utilizing interactive methods that emphasize problem-solving.

• Assist students in navigating competition-style questions while elucidating essential concepts and strategies.

• Aid students in developing systematic methods for tackling number theory, algebra, counting, probability, and geometry.

• Encourage students to cultivate confidence and effective strategies for test-taking.

• Offer prompt feedback and customized support to enhance student comprehension and ongoing improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher; preferred fields of study include Math, Economics, Finance, or similar disciplines.

• Prior experience in math competitions or relevant teaching/tutoring experience in competitive settings is highly desirable.

• A solid foundation in mathematics; familiarity with competitions such as AMC, AIME, or MathCounts is a plus.

• Availability to work on weekday evenings and weekends.

• Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin is advantageous.
