This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Perform telemedicine consultations and initial evaluations of wounds, determining diagnosis, wound etiology, and care plan.

• Analyze wound images, measurements, and ongoing documentation to monitor healing progress and modify treatment as needed.

• Oversee the selection of dressings, strategies for offloading and compression, debridement plans, and infection management, including antibiotic stewardship.

• Assess eligibility for advanced treatments and cellular/tissue-based products, documenting medical necessity in line with payer criteria.

• Supervise and provide clinical guidance to Nurse Practitioners conducting in-home wound assessments.

• Recognize wounds that require escalation and facilitate referrals for vascular, surgical, or higher-level care.

• Accurately and promptly complete medical records while upholding clinical governance standards.

• Create a compassionate, patient-focused environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a licensed Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with a permanent, active, unrestricted license from the South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners.

• Must be currently practicing within the geographical boundaries of South Carolina.

• Must possess a permanent, active, unrestricted license from the North Carolina Medical Board.

• Must be credentialed, or willing to complete credentialing, with North Carolina payors, including Medicare, NC Medicaid, and commercial plans.

• Clean credentialing history with no payor sanctions, exclusions, or unresolved malpractice claims.

• Clinical experience in managing wound care.

• Experience in supervising or working alongside advanced practice providers.

• Proficient with telehealth platforms and photo-based wound assessment.

• Available for patient consultations and provider oversight between 8 am and 6 pm.
