Working Student Video Editor, Video Editing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Edit concise and engaging videos for social media platforms (Reels, Shorts, ads)

• Assess hook-first raw footage and perform editing, sound design, text insertion, and motion graphics

• Incorporate AI tools into the workflow to enhance content production speed and creativity

• Collaborate closely with the Communications and Marketing teams on formats and series

• Utilize effects such as speed ramping and keyframes, or improve your skills in these areas

• Proactively add B-roll at suitable moments, even when no footage is available

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled at a German university until at least the summer semester of 2027 (studying Film, Audiovisual Media, Media Design, or a related field) — or possess demonstrably strong editing skills

• A reel or portfolio of work that highlights your editing abilities and sense of style (required)

• Proficient in using CapCut (essential)

• Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro is advantageous, or a readiness to learn

• Capable of independently adding B-roll at appropriate points, even in the absence of footage

• Strong sound design capabilities: precise timing of music and clean audio levels

• Quick to learn new concepts, receptive to feedback, and consistently reliable with deadlines

• Eagerness to incorporate AI tools into your workflow as a standard practice

• A strong aesthetic sense and a genuine interest in AI content and tools

• Motion graphics skills are a plus, preferably in Adobe After Effects (not mandatory)

• Initial experience with speed ramping and keyframes

• Experience in creating short-form content (Reels, Shorts, TikTok)
