This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Accurately process and document incoming invoices with appropriate supporting materials.
• Oversee payment cycles, track due dates, and follow up on any outstanding invoices.
• Reconcile accounts payable to maintain current financial records.
• Evaluate and process employee expense reports.
• Assist the Finance Manager with the monthly payroll cycle across various entities and EOR countries.
• Verify trial payslips against records and report any discrepancies.
• Keep payroll documentation and personnel files organized in a manner that is both audit-ready and compliant with data protection standards.
• Aid in audit preparation by gathering necessary documentation for auditor inquiries.
• Maintain the audit request list, track outstanding items, and ensure internal follow-ups.
• Support the assembly of files and documentation for the audit data room.
• Monitor the shared finance inbox and appropriately direct requests and invoices.
• Assist with daily finance operations and respond to ad hoc requests.
• Contribute to the documentation of finance processes on the internal wiki.
• Identify opportunities for AI integration to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, or transparency of finance processes.
• Currently enrolled in a master's degree program in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline, preferably with a focus on Controlling, Accounting, or Treasury.
• Prior practical experience in Finance, including internships or vocational training, is highly valued.
• Possess a strong analytical mindset and a structured, solution-focused approach.
• Comfortable taking initiative and working independently in a fast-paced, international setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Demonstrate curiosity and enthusiasm for working with AI tools; previous experience is beneficial, but a willingness to explore is more important.
• Exhibit strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
• Communicate clearly and effectively.
• Fluent in both English and German.
