Senior Accountant – Finance and Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee ongoing financial accounting for the primary entity

• Document, categorize, and assess business transactions

• Address outstanding issues and discrepancies

• Perform payment runs and reconcile banking accounts

• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes

• Conduct and thoroughly document account reconciliations and preparations for closing

• Aid in the preparation of annual financial statements in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders

• Recognize opportunities to enhance accounting procedures and implement effective solutions

• Participate in projects aimed at the development and transformation of Finance and Accounting

• Streamline and standardize processes, further advancing them through digitalization, automation, and AI

• Offer professional expertise during internal and external audit processes

⛳️ Requirements

• Multiple years of professional experience in Finance and Accounting

• Ideally possess further qualifications as a certified accountant or an equivalent credential

• Strong background in ongoing financial accounting

• Knowledge of payment processing, account reconciliations, and addressing outstanding items

• Experience in supporting monthly and annual closing processes

• Organized, dependable, and capable of working independently

• Eagerness to actively coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders

• Interest in digitalization, automation, and emerging technologies in accounting
