Working Student – AI Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development of Python applications that integrate large language models with data, APIs, and tools.

• Enhance and refine retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) workflows, which encompass document processing, chunking, embeddings, and retrieval methods.

• Facilitate document intelligence pipelines that extract structured information linked to sources from intricate documents.

• Design and test agent workflows, which include tool utilization and human approval processes.

• Generate evaluation datasets and assess answer quality, retrieval efficacy, latency, and costs.

• Incorporate testing, logging, and documentation to streamline the operation and enhancement of AI applications.

• Collaborate with skilled engineers in areas such as experimentation, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, data science, mathematics, or a related field.

• Solid practical skills in Python, including experience with APIs, JSON, and Git.

• A strong understanding of large language models and a keen interest in the development of AI applications.

• A meticulous approach to testing: you recognize system functionality, potential failures, and the underlying reasons for both.

• Proficient English communication skills.

• Involvement in a university or personal project related to LLMs, RAG, embeddings, or AI agents.

• Familiarity with Amazon Bedrock, Claude, vector databases, FastAPI, Docker, or an AI application framework.
