Python Team Lead – AI & Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Oversee the technical execution of automation projects, ensuring high standards of solution quality and successful delivery outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with the Product Manager and business stakeholders to comprehend current workflows, clarify requirements, and establish priorities.

• Convert intricate business challenges into actionable technical plans and clearly defined tasks.

• Design and build Python services, automated workflows, and integrate with existing systems and APIs.

• Utilize LLM capabilities where they offer measurable benefits, ensuring proper validation and human oversight.

• Set engineering standards, development methodologies, and foster a collaborative team culture.

• Mentor and guide engineers, assign responsibilities, and provide constructive feedback and code reviews as the team expands.

• Anticipate risks, address obstacles, and communicate progress and trade-offs effectively.

• Facilitate technical discussions, manage disagreements constructively, and assist stakeholders in making informed decisions.

• Ensure that solutions incorporate appropriate testing, monitoring, error handling, and production support.

• Join Intetics Inc., a global technology firm specializing in custom software development, distributed professional teams, software product quality assessment, and digital solutions.

• Engage in a project aimed at transforming labor-intensive backend business processes through Python-based automation and LLM-driven solutions.

• Act as the initial engineer and Team Lead of an expanding contractor team, laying down technical foundations and shaping team delivery practices.

• Partner with an AI & Automation Product Manager to convert business challenges into actionable solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive commercial experience in building and maintaining production systems using Python.

• Demonstrated experience in leading an engineering team while remaining actively engaged in technical design and development.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening, constructive feedback, and effective conflict resolution.

• Strong sense of ownership: the ability to independently manage problems from initial investigation to a functioning production solution.

• Experience working directly with Product Managers and business stakeholders, translating business objectives into technical delivery.

• Capability to organize team workloads, delegate effectively, support engineers, and uphold accountability for commitments.

• Background in delivering backend automation, system integrations, or solutions that substitute manual business processes.

• Practical experience with integrating LLMs into applications or automated workflows.

• Solid backend engineering fundamentals, including APIs, databases, data processing, and reliable error handling.

• Familiarity with automated testing, Git, and production deployment practices.

• Ability to work effectively with changing requirements, make pragmatic decisions, and articulate technical trade-offs.

• Proficient spoken and written English, adequate for leading discussions, clarifying complex requirements, and confidently challenging assumptions.

• Nice to have: Experience in building a new engineering team or establishing delivery processes from the ground up.

• Nice to have: Experience in interviewing and onboarding engineers.

• Nice to have: Experience with document processing, information extraction, or document-intensive workflows.

• Nice to have: Experience in assessing LLM outputs for accuracy, reliability, latency, and cost.
