This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.
β’ Offer proactive assistance to prospective learners, working professionals, and regional employer partners.
β’ Act as the main contact for non-degree, certificate, and degree pathways.
β’ Assist students throughout the admissions and enrollment process.
β’ Collaborate with Admissions, Professional Academic Advisors, YourPace Student Success Coaches, Student Records, Student Financial Services, and Student Support Services.
β’ Ensure a seamless and high-quality transition for learners.
β’ Anticipate the needs of applicants throughout their application journey.
β’ Support prospective learners during the application phase.
β’ Participate in training and institutional events, with potential travel to the UMPI campus.
β’ Work standard hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM EST, with possible schedule flexibility during peak admissions periods.
β’ A bachelor's degree is preferred; however, candidates with an associate's degree and relevant experience in admissions, tutoring, counseling, customer service, or sales will be considered.
β’ Strong listening, written, and verbal communication skills are essential.
β’ Ability to engage with a diverse range of prospective students with tact, diplomacy, and discretion.
β’ An outgoing, positive demeanor with the capability to connect, motivate, and inspire individuals.
β’ Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and Gmail.
β’ Demonstrated experience in managing multiple platforms concurrently and using communication technologies like Zoom.
β’ Exceptional organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
β’ Capability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
β’ Skill in anticipating the needs of applicants.
β’ Tenacity and the ability to utilize available information and resources to assist students throughout the application process.
β’ Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
β’ Willingness to advocate for training needs and fulfill position requirements within the onboarding timeline.
β’ A stable, reliable internet connection of at least 25 Mbps; hotspots are not acceptable.
β’ A dedicated, distraction-free workspace suitable for private phone and Zoom conversations and FERPA-compliant work.
β’ A workspace that accommodates a full workstation, including dual monitors, docking stations, and necessary equipment.
β’ Annual completion of a Remote Work Agreement Form.
β’ Relevant sales or marketing experience is preferred.
β’ Relevant admissions and recruitment experience is preferred.
β’ Cover letter and resume submission is required.
β’ Professional references are required for finalists.
β’ Successful completion of a background check is required.
