Form Assessor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough Form F (Wales) evaluations for potential foster carers

• Manage the evaluation process from assignment to presentation at the Fostering Panel

• Plan and carry out assessment visits with applicants and relevant parties

• Gather, analyze, and assess information obtained from interviews, references, and statutory checks

• Evaluate applicants' strengths, challenges, and ability to foster

• Create comprehensive, evidence-based Form F reports with recommendations

• Keep precise and confidential records of all assessment activities

⛳️ Requirements

• Substantial post-qualification experience in Children's Social Care

• Proven experience in conducting complex social work assessments and report writing

• Previous experience with Form F assessments is highly preferred

• Background in fostering services or related specialized teams

• Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW, or an equivalent qualification

• Current registration with Social Care Wales

• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development in fostering and children's services

• Enhanced DBS check is required

• Must reside in Powys or within 10 miles of the Powys border

• Availability of 10 hours per week
