Field Service Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Activate the Altra brand throughout the Virginia territory by fostering authentic connections, executing thoughtful activations, and providing hands-on support.

• Cultivate relationships with retailers via in-person visits, demonstrations, and sales floor assistance.

• Provide product education to both retail staff and consumers.

• Generate excitement through local partnerships, running clubs, events, and community involvement.

• Implement merchandising and promotional activations effectively.

• Represent Altra at local and select national races, events, and expos.

• Collaborate with Sales Representatives and cross-functional teams on go-to-market strategies.

• Convey product insights, consumer behavior observations, and market trend information.

• Maintain field reporting and manage field assets, travel, and expenses efficiently.

• Enhance relationships and elevate brand presence within the Virginia territory.

• Assist in retailer advocacy, community engagement, territory performance, and the execution of service plans.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in specialty retail (experience in run or outdoor sectors preferred).

• At least 2 years of experience in marketing, sales, or a customer-facing role.

• Proven experience in fitting and selling technical footwear.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management abilities.

• Capability to work independently while maintaining connection with a larger team.

• A proactive, self-starting attitude with a passion for the running and outdoor community.

• Familiarity with Altra products is advantageous.

• Residing in the greater Richmond/Washington, D.C. area will assist in staying connected to the territory.
