Workers Compensation Trial Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Manage all stages of Workers' Compensation litigation, from initial assessment to resolution.

• Collaborate with claims professionals to formulate case strategies.

• Perform discovery tasks.

• Negotiate settlement agreements.

• Attend hearings.

• Advocate for clients throughout the litigation process.

• Senior attorneys may mentor junior colleagues and act as technical resources on complex issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree and a minimum of 5 years of litigation experience.

• Must be a member in good standing with the California State Bar.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe software.

• Familiarity with Lexis, Westlaw, or comparable legal research tools.

• Understanding of the insurance sector, claims processes, insurance defense litigation, and legal procedures.

• Experience in Workers' Compensation defense.

• Strong skills in communication and negotiation.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Capability to manage a caseload independently.

• Experience in a collaborative team environment.

• Background in trials, hearings, mediations, and settlements.

• For Senior Trial Attorney applicants: experience with moderate to high-complexity cases, mentoring attorneys, and serving as a subject matter expert.
