Associate Attorney – Insurance Defense Litigation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee litigation cases from the stages of investigation and discovery to trial preparation.

• Advocate for clients during depositions, site inspections, hearings, and settlement negotiations.

• Conduct research on relevant laws and collaborate with senior attorneys to formulate legal strategies.

• Prepare pleadings, motions, and various legal documents.

• Maintain regular communication with claims representatives and insured clients.

• Monitor billable hours and adhere to invoicing protocols.

• Engage in discussions regarding case strategy and participate in firm training sessions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Licensed litigation attorney in New York.

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

• Between 2 to 5 years of experience in litigation.

• Background in insurance defense is preferred.

• Strong research and analytical capabilities.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to independently manage multiple cases while meeting deadlines.

• Reside within a commutable distance to New York courts.
