This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Evaluate Virginia Lost Time Workers Compensation claims for clients to ascertain entitled benefits.

• Maintain the continuous adjudication of claims in alignment with service expectations, industry standards, and client service obligations.

• Review and manage claims through strategic action plans to ensure timely resolutions.

• Conduct investigations and collect information to assess claim exposure.

• Negotiate claim settlements within the approved authority limits.

• Liaise with claimants and clients regarding claim activities and processing updates.

• Report claims to the excess insurance carrier.

• Respond to requests for guidance in a professional and timely manner.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of claims management experience or a comparable combination of education and experience is required.

• A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.

• Professional certification relevant to the line of business is preferred.

• Knowledge of Virginia jurisdiction is necessary.

• Proficiency in analyzing Virginia Lost Time Workers Compensation claims.

• Ability for clear and conceptual thinking.

• Exceptional judgment, troubleshooting, problem-solving, analytical skills, and discretion.

• Capability to manage work-related stress effectively.

• Skill to manage multiple priorities at once.

• Ability to adhere to deadlines.

• Proficient in computer keyboarding.

• Competence in hearing, vision, and speaking.
