This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Identify, develop, and execute opportunities within critical criminal justice and federal-system accounts.
• Engage with customers to pinpoint educational needs and ensure access for eligible patients across correctional facilities, jails, Veterans Affairs, and the Department of Defense.
• Implement business development strategies and marketing initiatives to achieve or surpass targets.
• Provide account management, strategic planning, and analysis for designated key accounts.
• Review and analyze market reports in relation to quarterly and annual goals.
• Establish collaborative relationships with stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers within accounts.
• Meet access, contractual, and outcome objectives outlined in account business plans.
• Enhance knowledge of the assigned area, including customers, care delivery systems, payers, public policy, and funding initiatives.
• Identify potential opportunities and obstacles within emerging customer segments.
• Educate and provide information to stakeholders in medical, correctional, behavioral health, administrative, and drug treatment fields.
• Develop care systems that support criminal justice initiatives utilizing injectable medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD).
• Deliver unbiased, balanced, and compliant clinical presentations.
• Assist in the development and delivery of field training programs.
• Lead compliant cross-functional collaboration to implement customer business plans and ensure continuity of care.
• Uphold company compliance policies and the Code of Conduct.
• Represent Braeburn at local and select national conferences.
• Manage expenses and budgets related to business development.
• A Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) is required; an Advanced Business Degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of pharmaceutical experience, including at least 5 years in sales, sales leadership, and/or field market access/reimbursement within biotech, specialty pharmaceutical, or device sectors.
• At least 2 years of pharmaceutical or related experience in the Corrections/Criminal Justice System and Integrated Health Systems and Hospitals is required.
• Demonstrated sales or field market access success in specialty pharmacy markets.
• Experience navigating complex customer protocols and contracting for integrated health systems, corrections, and other large accounts.
• Familiarity with complex distribution models, including Specialty Pharmacy Network Management and Buy & Bill acquisition.
• Comprehensive understanding of reimbursement and insurance coverage for physician-administered treatments.
• Proven experience in product launches, guiding others in a challenging and competitive environment.
• Experience in selling specialty products, particularly those involving physician-administered implantable or injectable medication technologies in healthcare.
• Capability to work independently to identify new business opportunities.
• Willingness to travel regionally and nationally as required (up to 70–80%).
• A valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Skills in strategic account planning, negotiation, and contracting.
• Understanding of federal, state, and privately managed correctional systems, managed care organizations, pharmacy providers, and the continuum of care.
• Strong written, oral, presentation, planning, and operational skills.
• A commitment to ethical behavior and compliant work practices.
• An entrepreneurial spirit and/or experience in a startup environment.
