Workers Compensation Claims Team Lead – CA or NV license

📋 Description

• Oversee the operations of various teams of workers compensation examiners and technical personnel.

• Evaluate colleagues' workloads, deliver training, and supervise individual claim activities.

• Offer technical and jurisdictional guidance on examiner reports and claims adjudication.

• Maintain a diary for team claims, including those that are complex or high-exposure.

• Analyze and manage intricate or technically challenging general liability claims.

• Investigate and collect information to assess claim exposure.

• Direct claims through action plans to achieve timely and appropriate resolutions.

• Oversee litigation processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective claims resolutions.

• Coordinate vendor referrals for further investigation or litigation management.

• Lead team meetings and assign responsibilities for follow-up tasks.

• Compile compliance and claims-processing information for team discussions.

• Assist in interviewing adjusters and clerical staff, providing feedback to the hiring manager.

• Support monthly assessments of adjuster workloads, identify trends, and recommend adjustments.

• Implement company personnel policies and adhere to staffing and training standards.

• Conduct interviews, hire staff, establish performance development plans, and facilitate performance discussions.

• Provide support, guidance, leadership, and motivation to enhance maximum performance.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of claims management experience or a comparable combination of education and experience is required.

• A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

• Professional certification relevant to the line of business is preferred.

• Knowledge and licensing in CA or NV jurisdiction are required.

• Supervisory experience and knowledge in workers compensation is necessary.

• Capability to analyze and manage complex or technically challenging claims.

• Strong clear and conceptual thinking skills.

• Exceptional judgment, troubleshooting abilities, problem-solving skills, analysis, and discretion.

• Capacity to manage work-related stress and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

• Ability to adhere to deadlines.

• Proficiency in computer keyboarding.

• Adequate hearing, vision, and speaking abilities.
