Workers' Compensation Claims Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess compensability and/or coverage matters for lost time workers' compensation claims

• Efficiently oversee a caseload of lost time claims across various jurisdictions

• Negotiate and manage settlements with oversight from management

• Collect medical and factual information to evaluate compensability

• Supervise external investigations and manage litigation files within authorized limits

• Liaise and maintain communication with claimants and/or their legal representatives, outside investigators, and rehabilitation staff

• Keep regular communication with insured parties, account representatives, and medical practitioners

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required

• Background in managing claims across several jurisdictions, including (but not limited to): PA, MA, VA, ME, MD

• Maryland residents are strongly encouraged to submit applications

• Bachelor's degree is preferred

• Experience with insurance carriers is preferred

• Proven experience in handling lost time or litigated claims

• Understanding of medical terminology is necessary

• Strong skills in organization, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
