Transportation Claims Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess and adjudicate intricate claims, including those under litigation, while ensuring adherence to all legal and regulatory standards.

• Supervise the investigation, assessment, and resolution of bodily injury claims related to company vehicles or drivers.

• Create comprehensive file summaries for internal reporting, large loss evaluations, and reinsurance objectives, ensuring all relevant information is accurately recorded.

• Guarantee that all bodily injury claims are processed in line with industry best practices and company guidelines.

• Adjust claims for physical damage, including those with unreported damages.

• Engage in negotiations directly with insurance company adjusters, claimants, and representatives of third-party claimants upon receiving critical information.

• Discuss incidents, damages, preventability, and processes with operators of commercial vehicles.

• Maintain records for litigation, subrogation, physical damage, liability, and workers' compensation claims.

• Report claims and incidents as required.

• Be accessible on-call during nights and weekends for serious accidents and other necessary duties.

• Select, direct, and manage relationships with vendors, including towing companies, body shops, garages, and parking/storage facilities to secure accurate costs for claim settlements.

• Update and process payments for repairs.

• Request police reports, establish new claim files, and confirm losses with insurers and brokers.

• Coordinate with the Claims team, Safety/Compliance team, and others as needed on pertinent matters.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completion of post-secondary education in an Insurance program or a related field.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in trucking, claims, or safety and compliance is preferred.

• Familiarity with commercial lines and transportation liability.

• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.

• Exceptional multi-tasking, time-management, customer service, and organizational abilities.

• Capacity to uphold a high degree of confidentiality.

• Ability to remain composed in crisis situations.
