Worker’s Compensation Associate Attorney – Review, Compromise & Release

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Review and revise Compromise and Release (C&R) agreements along with associated addendums prior to submission to the WCAB.

• Confirm settlement details against case documents, including ADJ numbers, injury dates, affected body parts, settlement amounts, attorney fees, permanent disability advances, liens, and future medical provisions.

• Examine addendums and attachments for alignment with C&R agreements and compliance with WCAB standards.

• Detect and rectify errors, omissions, and problematic phrasing that could impede approval.

• Relay necessary corrections to Settlement Administrators and internal teams.

• Oversee a daily caseload, prioritizing files based on urgency and deadlines.

• Keep precise status updates and notes within the case management system.

• Exceptional writing and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Must maintain good standing with the California State Bar.

• Preferred experience in California workers' compensation, particularly on the applicant side.

• Familiarity with C&R drafting, WCAB approval standards, and typical OSA issues is preferred.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
