Litigation Attorney – Insurance Defense

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee a caseload of general liability defense and construction defect litigation cases from start to finish.

• Formulate and implement litigation strategies that are customized for each individual case.

• Conduct and defend depositions, hearings, mediations, and various other litigation processes.

• Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery responses, correspondence, and other legal documents.

• Evaluate claims, defenses, liability concerns, damages, and case exposure risks.

• Maintain communication with clients, insurance providers, opposing counsel, experts, and other relevant parties.

• Proactively handle deadlines, discovery processes, negotiations, and overall litigation strategy.

• Get cases ready for trial and engage in trial-related activities.

• Apply sound legal judgment while upholding high standards of client service and advocacy.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in civil litigation.

• An active Florida Bar license in good standing.

• Preferred experience in general liability defense and third-party matters.

• Highly valued background in construction defect litigation.

• Strong skills in legal research, writing, analysis, negotiation, and oral advocacy.

• Proven ability to manage litigation matters independently and proactively.

• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, professionalism, and client-service abilities.

• Generally targeting candidates with approximately 2 to 15 years of experience.

• Early to mid-career attorneys are encouraged to apply.

• Preferred candidates should have meaningful tenure and advancement with previous firms.

• Backgrounds in in-house and solo practice are generally less preferred.
