This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.
• Ensure the effective delivery of Workday solutions to clients.
• Collaborate with client business teams as well as internal sales and delivery teams to outline the solution scope, objectives, and methodology.
• Manage global Workday programs commercially, overseeing all stages from pre-sales to implementation and transitioning to Application Management Services.
• Serve as the primary client liaison between functional and technical teams and the client.
• Offer domain expertise and functional insights in areas such as HCM, Finance, Payroll, or relevant Workday functionalities.
• Oversee project planning, resource allocation, milestone tracking, commercial management, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Lead and support integrated teams comprising colleagues, clients, and partner resources.
• Establish objectives, outputs, milestones, timelines, contract conditions, and commercial terms in collaboration with clients.
• Identify requirements, business processes, application configurations, testing plans, and other implementation artifacts.
• Develop structured and precise deliverables, presenting recommendations to client steering committees.
• Recognize and pursue opportunities to secure additional business, including engaging in senior-level negotiations and finalizing deals.
• Proven track record as a manager of systems implementations with direct experience in delivering IT solutions in a consulting context.
• Experience in full lifecycle project management, from the initial opportunity through requirements gathering, functional solution design, implementation, data migration, system testing, user acceptance testing, go-live, and service management.
• Minimum of two years' experience in a consulting or IT services setting.
• Strong skills in commercial management, influencing, and negotiation.
• Excellent customer orientation with the ability to assess needs, foster relationships, and manage expectations effectively.
• Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to engage in a remote working environment.
• Capability to present formally to senior client audiences.
• Strong writing skills with experience in creating business cases, requirements documentation, tender documents, contracts, statements of work, and change requests.
• Proven success in identifying and capitalizing on opportunities for additional business.
• Ability to provide pre-sales support, design and cost-effective solutions, and collaborate closely with sales teams.
• Sound commercial judgment and a demonstrated ability to execute project contracts and commercial terms.
• Experience managing and leading distributed teams.
• Capacity to act as a role model and mentor, leading and managing personnel effectively.
• Ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
• Positive “can do” attitude towards commercial, technical, and staffing challenges.
• Capability to implement enhancements in tools and/or processes.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations within the same region; minimal out-of-region travel may be necessary.
• Desirable: experience with Workday or similar SaaS delivery methodologies.
• Desirable: experience in managing, mentoring, and developing teams.
• Desirable: strong functional domain knowledge in core HR and Finance, including Payroll.
