Workday Financials Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Set up and maintain the foundational elements of Workday Financials, which encompass General Ledger, Financial Account Books, Custom Worktags, and Multi-Currency Organization Hierarchies.

• Design and oversee spend and revenue processes, including Supplier Accounts, Customer Billing Schedules, Expense Reports, and Procurement Routing parameters.

• Develop Business Process workflows to ensure finance governance, including multi-tier journals, threshold-based spending approvals, and cross-entity clearing approvals.

• Manage configurations for period-end and fiscal year closings, incorporating automated ledger conversions, reconciliation runs, and foreign currency revaluations.

• Enforce secure internal financial data controls, implementing conditional sharing policies and audit trace logging.

• Work in collaboration with technical integration engineers to map functional financial data objects and facilitate connections with external banks, tax engines, and legacy systems.

• Direct update validation runs for biannual platform releases and perform functional regression tests in sandboxes to maintain the integrity of general ledger reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 to 8 years of experience in core enterprise financial technology.

• 4+ years of focused implementation, configuration, and support experience within the Workday Financial Management platform.

• Workday Certified Financials Core certification is required.

• Proficient technical knowledge of Workday Business Process Builder.

• Proficient technical knowledge of Financial Account Postings.

• Proficient technical knowledge of Custom Worktag inheritance logic.

• Proficient technical knowledge of custom data validation rules.

• Comprehensive understanding of corporate accounting practices, including GAAP/IFRS.

• Familiarity with consolidation models, intercompany transaction rules, and tax compliance parameters.

• Preferred: Workday Certified Composite Reporting or Prism Analytics certification.

• Preferred: Consulting experience in managing large-scale global financial transformations across multi-entity corporations with complex accounting structures.
