This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Develop and manage OleOle’s comprehensive financial model for a global football platform.
• Create scenarios for approximately 50 million, 100 million, and 400 million global users.
• Formulate economic models for OleOleSport ticketing, travel, and VIP hospitality services.
• Model the planned fixed-odds and prediction-market gaming business for Bad Monkey.
• Construct models for Mini Programs, third-party commerce, sponsorships, and commercial partnerships.
• Develop models for NewZeros’ payments, wallets, transaction processing, and exchange functionalities.
• Establish a bottom-up model for OleOleSport as an initial commercial engine.
• Analyze capital requirements, cash utilization, operating expenses, unit economics, gross margins, and long-term profitability.
• Collaborate closely with the Founder & CEO, CFO, and business-unit leaders.
• Create a robust, investor-ready management and fundraising tool.
• Update the model as actual operating data supersedes initial assumptions.
• Take ownership of strategic planning, forecasting, budgeting, business-unit economics, KPI development, scenario analysis, and financial reporting post-funding.
• Assist in building OleOle’s broader finance function.
• Grasp economic engines, scrutinize assumptions, identify missing variables, and construct financial frameworks from scratch.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis personally rather than fully delegating it.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in strategic finance, investment banking, private equity, growth equity, corporate development, venture-backed technology, fintech, payments, marketplaces, gaming, exchanges, or other transaction-focused businesses.
• Outstanding financial modeling capabilities, including the construction of complex, multi-business operating models from the ground up.
• Proven experience in developing integrated financial models that encompass revenue drivers, unit economics, transaction volume, gross margin, operating expenses, cash flow, capital needs, scenario analysis, and long-term profitability.
• Experience in modeling businesses at a significant scale, including tens or hundreds of millions of users, high transaction volumes, multiple geographies, and interconnected revenue streams.
• In-depth knowledge of payments and financial-network economics, covering transaction volume, take rates, basis-point economics, merchant payments, wallets, cross-border transactions, payment-processing costs, and network effects.
• Solid understanding of marketplace and platform economics, including GMV, buyer/seller participation, merchant adoption, transaction frequency, take rates, contribution margins, and network effects.
• Familiarity with exchange or trading economics, including trading volume, liquidity, spreads, transaction fees, and financial marketplaces.
• Experience in gaming, sports betting, or prediction-market economics is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to evaluate or model consumer internet/social platforms at significant scale.
• Capability to build sophisticated dynamic scenario models.
• Demonstrated experience in producing investor-grade financial models and investment presentations.
• Experience supporting major capital raises, M&A transactions, strategic investments, IPO preparations, or institutional financing is strongly preferred.
• Strong grasp of three-statement modeling, valuation methodologies, DCF analysis, comparable-company analysis, sensitivity analysis, capital structure, and financing scenarios.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets modeling.
• Familiarity with SQL, Python, BI platforms, financial planning systems, or AI-assisted financial analysis is highly desirable.
• An MBA, CFA, CPA, or advanced degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a quantitative field is preferred.
• Exceptional professional experience may substitute for formal qualifications.
• Experience at a prominent investment bank, private equity/growth equity firm, major fintech/payment company, global technology platform, or a successful venture-backed company is particularly attractive.
• International experience and experience in modeling across currencies, regulatory environments, and geographic markets are strongly preferred.
• Ability to work directly with the Founder & CEO and senior technical/product leadership in a startup environment.
• Must be willing to personally build the model.
• Comfortable with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and growth in an early-stage company.
• Knowledge of football and international sports is a significant advantage.
• Deferred compensation agreed upon in writing and accruing during the deferred period, payable after funding.
