Workday Configuration Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Configure, enhance, optimize, and manage Workday and associated HR technology solutions.

• Act as a technical advisor to HR business partners and stakeholders.

• Convert complex business requirements into scalable system configurations and processes.

• Support daily operations, maintenance, and improvement of HR systems and related processes.

• Design, configure, and oversee Workday business processes, conditional rules, calculated fields, security, notifications, and tenant settings.

• Provide guidance on Workday functionality, configuration choices, and process design.

• Lead configuration, testing, validation, and deployment for Workday enhancements, updates, and module implementations.

• Resolve intricate issues escalated from the Support Team.

• Develop and maintain standard and custom HR reports and dashboards.

• Conduct data audits to ensure HR data integrity and compliance.

• Document system processes, workflows, and user procedures.

• Collaborate with HR and IT teams to collect requirements for system updates and process enhancements.

• Engage with external vendors or consultants as necessary.

• Report directly to the Director of HR Technology.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience working with Workday in an analyst and/or configuration capacity at a large organization utilizing Workday.

• Practical Workday configuration experience in one or more functional areas, such as Absence, Time Tracking, and Payroll.

• Experience setting up and maintaining business processes, conditional rules, notifications, reports, calculated fields, and security settings.

• Experience in gathering business requirements and converting them into system solutions.

• Background in supporting large-scale Workday environments with multiple stakeholder groups.

• Capability to manage multiple concurrent projects, enhancements, and production support tasks.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

• Ability to handle diverse tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of clearly explaining technical information to non-technical users.

• Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools for data analysis.

• Collaborative and customer-focused approach when working with HR teams, IT, and vendors.

• Experience in supporting a large, distributed, or multi-state organization is preferred.

• Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred or equivalent experience.

• Workday Payroll experience for Canada is desirable.

• Availability for East Coast working hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
