Windows Support Technician – End User Support Specialist II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Design and implement hybrid-cloud solutions tailored for enterprise settings.

• Utilize configuration management tools like Puppet along with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible and Terraform.

• Create and deploy automated infrastructure in both on-premises and cloud environments.

• Develop and implement CI/CD, testing, and operational infrastructure in on-premises and cloud settings.

• Collaborate closely with automation teams to enhance the USPTO Platform Services environment.

• Serve as a DevOps Platform Engineer in support of the USPTO program.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical experience in Linux/Unix, HP-UX, and Windows server administration.

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in developing Puppet modules for platform products.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in DevOps utilizing Terraform, Ansible, and similar tools.

• At least 2 years of practical experience with container technologies and orchestration tools, including Kubernetes and Docker.

• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Jenkins Pipeline, Maven, and Nexus.

• Possess at least an entry-level certification in one of AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

• Familiarity with Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat CloudForms, Puppet, Chef, and Ansible.

• Experience in defining, configuring, and building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and other automation strategies.

• Proven track record of working in an Agile environment and utilizing Agile tools such as JIRA and Rally.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
