
Wide Format Service Technician β Traveling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
β’ Deliver technical support to customers via phone and onsite.
β’ Conduct diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, software updates, machine modifications, retrofits, and routine maintenance on production printing equipment.
β’ Execute equipment installations, deinstallations, relocations, and provide training for customer operators.
β’ Follow up with clients post-installation to confirm that their expectations are met and the equipment is functioning correctly.
β’ Organize and manage upcoming installations, ensuring site readiness by confirming power availability, scheduling forklifts, and verifying RIP software compatibility.
β’ Complete service calls in alignment with company standards and service agreements.
β’ Assist customers with inquiries related to equipment and offer advice on color management and production workflows.
β’ Cultivate a working knowledge of Onyx software and RIP systems to enhance customer print production environments.
β’ Comprehend how RIP software governs print production and aid customers with general operational inquiries.
β’ Engage in continuous training programs to stay updated on products, software, and service protocols.
β’ Support sales teams by recognizing equipment upgrade possibilities and aiding with technical evaluations.
β’ Maintain precise service records and documentation.
β’ Thrive in a dynamic, customer-centric environment.
β’ Minimum of 2β6 years of relevant field service experience.
β’ Experience in servicing and repairing wide format equipment and associated technology.
β’ Strong preference for experience with Canon wide format printing equipment.
β’ Preferred working knowledge of Onyx software and production RIP workflows.
β’ Proficient understanding of computers and networking.
β’ Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
β’ Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
β’ Solid working knowledge of Windows operating systems and related applications.
β’ Highly motivated and capable of working independently from a home office.
β’ Willingness to travel around 50% of the time, mainly across the Central and Eastern United States.
β’ Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
