
Wide Format Service Technician – Traveling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver technical support to customers via phone and onsite visits.
• Conduct diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, software upgrades, machine modifications, retrofits, and preventative maintenance on production printing equipment.
• Execute equipment installations, deinstallations, relocations, and provide training for customer operators.
• Follow up with customers post-installation to ensure satisfaction and confirm that the equipment is functioning correctly.
• Organize and manage upcoming installations, including verifying site readiness requirements such as power availability, forklift scheduling, and RIP software compatibility.
• Complete service calls in accordance with company standards and service agreements.
• Assist customers with equipment-related inquiries and offer guidance on color management and production workflows.
• Acquire a working knowledge of Onyx software and RIP systems to support customer print production environments.
• Comprehend how RIP software governs print production and assist customers with general operational queries.
• Engage in ongoing training programs to stay updated on products, software, and service procedures.
• Aid sales teams by identifying opportunities for equipment upgrades and assisting with technical evaluations.
• Keep accurate service records and documentation.
• Operate effectively in a dynamic, customer-centric environment.
• A minimum of 2–6 years of relevant field service experience.
• Experience in servicing and repairing wide format equipment and associated technology.
• Preference for experience with Canon wide format print equipment.
• Preferred working knowledge of Onyx software and production RIP workflows.
• Strong understanding of computer and networking principles.
• Excellent customer service and communication capabilities.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient knowledge of Windows operating systems and related applications.
• Highly motivated and capable of working independently from a home office setting.
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% of the time, mainly across the Central and Eastern United States.
• Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
