
Wide Format Service Technician – Traveling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver technical support to customers via phone and onsite visits.
• Execute diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, software updates, machine modifications, retrofits, and preventative maintenance on production printing equipment.
• Carry out equipment installations, deinstallations, relocations, and provide training for customer operators.
• Follow up with customers post-installation to confirm satisfaction and proper equipment functionality.
• Oversee and organize forthcoming installations, ensuring site readiness by confirming requirements such as power availability, forklift scheduling, and RIP software compatibility.
• Provide exceptional technical support by fulfilling service requests in accordance with company standards and service agreements.
• Assist customers with inquiries related to equipment and offer guidance on color management and production workflows.
• Cultivate a working understanding of Onyx software and RIP systems to aid customer print production environments.
• Comprehend how RIP software governs print production and assist customers with general operational queries.
• Engage in continuous training programs to stay updated on products, software, and service procedures.
• Support sales teams by recognizing equipment upgrade prospects and aiding with technical assessments.
• Maintain precise service records and documentation.
• Thrive in a dynamic, customer-centered environment.
• A minimum of 2–6 years of relevant field service experience.
• Experience in servicing and repairing wide format equipment and associated technology.
• Strong preference for experience with Canon wide format print equipment.
• Preferred working knowledge of Onyx software and production RIP workflows.
• Strong understanding of computers and networking.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient knowledge of Windows operating systems and related applications.
• Highly self-motivated with the capability to work independently from a home office setting.
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% of the time, primarily across the Central and Eastern United States.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
