
Wide Format Service Technician – Traveling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Deliver both phone and on-site technical assistance to clients.
• Conduct diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, software updates, machine modifications, retrofits, and preventive maintenance on production printing equipment.
• Execute equipment installations, deinstallations, relocations, and training for customer operators.
• Follow up with clients post-installation to ensure their expectations have been met and that the equipment is functioning correctly.
• Organize and oversee upcoming installations, including verifying site readiness requirements such as power availability, forklift scheduling, and RIP software compatibility.
• Complete service calls in accordance with company standards and service agreements.
• Assist clients with equipment-related inquiries and offer guidance on color management and production workflows.
• Acquire a working knowledge of Onyx software and RIP systems to support customer print production settings.
• Comprehend how RIP software manages print production and aid clients with general operational questions.
• Engage in ongoing training programs to stay updated on products, software, and service procedures.
• Support sales teams by identifying opportunities for equipment upgrades and providing assistance with technical evaluations.
• Keep precise service records and documentation.
• Perform effectively in a dynamic, customer-centric environment.
• A minimum of 2–6 years of relevant field service experience.
• Experience in servicing and repairing wide format equipment and associated technology.
• Prior experience with Canon wide format printing equipment is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Onyx software and production RIP workflows is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of computers and networking.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient understanding of Windows operating systems and related applications.
• Highly motivated with the ability to work independently from a home office setting.
• Willingness and ability to travel around 50% of the time, mainly throughout the Central and Eastern United States.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
