
Wide Format Service Technician β Traveling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
β’ Deliver phone and on-site technical assistance to clients
β’ Conduct diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, software upgrades, machine modifications, retrofits, and preventive maintenance on production printing equipment
β’ Execute equipment installations, deinstallations, relocations, and training for customer operators
β’ Follow up with clients post-installation to ensure their expectations have been met and that the equipment is functioning correctly
β’ Manage and coordinate upcoming installations, including verifying site readiness requirements such as power availability, forklift scheduling, and RIP software compatibility
β’ Complete service calls in accordance with company standards and service agreements
β’ Assist clients with equipment-related inquiries and provide guidance on color management and production workflows
β’ Develop a proficient understanding of Onyx software and RIP systems to support customer printing environments
β’ Grasp how RIP software manages print production and assist clients with general operational queries
β’ Engage in ongoing training programs to stay updated on products, software, and service procedures
β’ Support sales teams by identifying opportunities for equipment upgrades and aiding in technical evaluations
β’ Maintain precise service records and documentation
β’ Operate effectively in a dynamic, customer-centric setting
β’ A minimum of 2β6 years of relevant field service experience
β’ Experience in servicing and repairing wide format equipment and related technology
β’ Strong preference for experience with Canon wide format printing equipment
β’ Preferred working knowledge of Onyx software and production RIP workflows
β’ Solid understanding of computers and networking
β’ Excellent customer service and communication abilities
β’ Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills
β’ Proficient working knowledge of Windows operating systems and associated applications
β’ Highly motivated and capable of working independently from a home office
β’ Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% of the time, primarily across the Central and Eastern United States
β’ Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving history
