This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Deliver technical assistance to customers via phone and onsite visits.
• Conduct diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, software updates, machine modifications, retrofitting, and preventive maintenance on production print devices.
• Execute equipment installations, deinstallations, relocations, and provide training for customer operators.
• Follow up with clients post-installation to confirm that their expectations have been fulfilled and that the equipment is functioning correctly.
• Oversee and organize upcoming installations by verifying site readiness requirements, including power availability, forklift scheduling, and RIP software compatibility.
• Fulfill service calls in accordance with company standards and service agreements.
• Assist customers with inquiries related to equipment and offer guidance on color management and production workflows.
• Acquire a working knowledge of Onyx software and RIP systems to support customer print production settings.
• Comprehend the operation of RIP software in print production and aid customers with general operational inquiries.
• Engage in ongoing training programs to stay updated on products, software, and service protocols.
• Aid sales teams by recognizing equipment upgrade prospects and assisting with technical assessments.
• Maintain precise service records and documentation.
• Operate effectively in a dynamic, customer-centric environment.
• A minimum of 2–6 years of relevant field service experience.
• Experience in servicing and repairing wide format equipment and associated technology.
• Prior experience with Canon wide format print equipment is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Onyx software and production RIP workflows is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of computers and networking.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Robust mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Strong proficiency with Windows operating systems and related applications.
• Highly motivated and capable of working independently from a home office setting.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time, primarily within the Central and Eastern United States.
• Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
