
Wide Format Service Technician – Traveling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Deliver technical support to customers via phone and in-person.
• Execute diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, software upgrades, machine modifications, retrofits, and preventive maintenance on production printing equipment.
• Carry out equipment installations, deinstallations, relocations, and provide training for customer operators.
• Follow up with clients post-installation to confirm that their expectations have been met and that the equipment is functioning correctly.
• Oversee and coordinate future installations, ensuring site readiness requirements such as power availability, forklift scheduling, and RIP software compatibility are met.
• Perform service calls in accordance with company standards and service agreements.
• Assist customers with inquiries related to equipment and offer guidance on color management and production workflows.
• Acquire a functional understanding of Onyx software and RIP systems to support customer print production environments.
• Engage in continuous training programs to stay updated on products, software, and service protocols.
• Aid sales teams by identifying equipment upgrade possibilities and supporting technical evaluations.
• Keep precise service records and documentation.
• Operate efficiently in a dynamic, customer-centric environment.
• A minimum of 2–6 years of relevant field service experience.
• Experience in servicing and repairing wide format equipment and associated technologies.
• Canon wide format print equipment experience is strongly preferred.
• Preferred working knowledge of Onyx software and production RIP workflows.
• Strong understanding of computer and networking principles.
• Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
• Proficient mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Solid knowledge of Windows operating systems and related applications.
• Highly motivated, with the ability to work independently from a home office.
• Willingness and ability to travel about 50% of the time, primarily across the Central and Eastern United States.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
