This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +2 more countries.
• Implement updates to WordPress hosting, CMS core, plugins, themes, and server components.
• Oversee websites for vulnerabilities, malware, and security advisories, addressing any issues that arise.
• Manage WordPress and other CMS platforms, including user accounts, roles, plugins, and themes.
• Diagnose site errors, plugin conflicts, and issues with functionality.
• Oversee and verify backups while maintaining procedures for restoration and rollback.
• Conduct tests in staging environments prior to deploying changes to production.
• Handle domain registrations, renewals, and transfers.
• Set up and troubleshoot DNS records, including A, CNAME, MX, TXT, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
• Identify DNS propagation issues with registrars and hosting providers.
• Oversee the issuance, renewal, and installation of SSL/TLS certificates.
• Strengthen hosting environments through access controls, file permissions, and WAF/security rules.
• Provide support and troubleshoot third-party integrations, including web forms, CRM, marketing tools, chat, lead generation, analytics, and webhooks/APIs.
• Configure and manage analytics and tracking using GA4, Search Console, and tag management.
• Generate regular traffic and performance reports, highlighting any anomalies.
• Act as the primary contact for website-related inquiries via the ticketing system.
• Maintain documentation and runbooks while appropriately escalating complex issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and non-technical stakeholders.
• Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in web support, web administration, or web operations.
• Prior experience with WordPress administration, including core/plugin/theme updates, configuration, and security.
• Proven understanding of DNS and domain management fundamentals.
• Familiarity with SSL/TLS, backups, and best practices in web security.
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and strong general troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent technical communication skills, with the capacity to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Capability to manage a ticket queue independently while also contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment.
• Working knowledge of web hosting environments, including managed hosting, cPanel/Plesk, and basic Linux.
• Experience with Google Analytics 4 and Search Console.
• Current computer equipment that meets Windows 11 or macOS specifications.
• At least 8 GB of RAM.
• Fast hard drive with adequate available storage.
• Experience with CDN/WAF (e.g., Cloudflare) and security plugins (Wordfence, Sucuri) is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Google AdSense is a plus.
