Website Operations Manager, WordPress, Digital Platforms

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Oversee and maintain the company's websites utilizing WordPress and various other CMS platforms.

• Publish, update, and enhance website content, pages, forms, and digital assets.

• Manage website infrastructure, including domains, DNS, hosting, SSL certificates, backups, CDN services, and user access.

• Monitor website performance, security, accessibility, and uptime; troubleshoot problems and implement enhancements.

• Handle website releases, testing, technical documentation, and ongoing maintenance.

• Supervise SEO, search visibility, website analytics, and reporting through Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Search Console, and Bing Webmaster Tools.

• Develop and refine content discoverability using SEO, structured data, and AI search (AEO) best practices.

• Manage AI search crawler policies, indexing, sitemaps, and search eligibility across various platforms.

• Utilize AI tools to enhance content creation, analytics, troubleshooting, reporting, code review, and operational efficiency.

• Assess, test, and oversee AI plugins and services for security, privacy, licensing, and performance compliance.

• Analyze website and AI search performance data and provide insights to boost traffic, engagement, and conversions.

• Collaborate with Marketing, IT, Design, Security, and external vendors to meet digital business goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Approximately 3-5 years of experience in Website Operations, Web Administration, CMS Administration, WordPress Operations, or a similar role.

• Strong practical experience with WordPress administration: themes, plugins, user roles, forms, multilingual pages, staging, updates, troubleshooting, and backups.

• Solid understanding of DNS, SSL/TLS, hosting, CDN/caching, SFTP, logs, redirects, HTTP status codes, and restoration/rollback processes.

• Proficiency in HTML/CSS and enough familiarity with JavaScript and PHP to troubleshoot and safely modify a WordPress environment.

• Working knowledge of technical SEO, structured data validation, Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, GA4, GTM, accessibility, and performance testing.

• Demonstrated experience using at least one AI assistant productively for tasks such as content creation, diagnosis, coding, reporting, or workflow enhancement.

• Ability to articulate how AI outputs were validated, what data was excluded, and where human verification was necessary.

• Proficient in English and knowledgeable in practical Arabic/RTL website considerations.

• Located in Egypt.

• Preferred qualifications: Experience with WordPress Multisite, WooCommerce, bilingual/RTL publishing, Linux, WP-CLI, SQL, Git, APIs/webhooks, cloud hosting, WAF/CDN management, or Looker Studio.

• Experience in piloting or governing an AI-enabled WordPress environment.
