This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take full ownership of the flagship Customer Conference from start to finish, which includes sourcing and contracting the venue, designing the attendee journey, developing content and the agenda, overseeing production, and directly managing executive stakeholders and speakers.
• Lead the strategic planning and execution of major events assigned to you.
• Define the audience, objectives, budget, experience, and success metrics for each event.
• Create integrated plans alongside sales, demand generation, branding, and communications, which encompass promotion and post-event follow-up.
• Oversee event delivery in accordance with plans and leverage results to enhance future investments.
• Develop the event scorecard and pipeline attribution model that meets finance-accepted standards.
• Manage the reporting frequency for marketing leadership regarding event-related spending returns, categorized by event and tier.
• Establish and maintain a speaker’s bureau for participation from executives and subject matter experts.
• Keep a current speaker roster and CFP calendar, create abstracts, and coordinate speaker preparation in collaboration with the communications team.
• Report to the Senior Director of Strategic & Major Events.
• A minimum of eight years in B2B event marketing, with a track record of progressively taking on larger and more complex events.
• Direct, comprehensive ownership of a multi-day owned conference accommodating several hundred attendees or more, which includes venue management, content creation, production, and engagement with executive stakeholders.
• Developed event measurement and pipeline attribution frameworks that are recognized and utilized by a finance organization.
• Experience managing a speakers bureau or CFP program, involving the sourcing, preparation, and coaching of senior executive speakers.
• Demonstrated experience in managing an event program with an annual budget of $5M or more, covering both owned events and third-party sponsorships.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, particularly sales leadership and executive speakers, even outside the direct reporting line.
• A background in cybersecurity, identity security, or enterprise infrastructure software is preferred.
• Experience in running an event series for an acquired brand within a parent company’s portfolio is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Salesforce campaigns, campaign member statuses, and lead flow is preferred.
• Global event experience, particularly in the EMEA region, is preferred.
