This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Oversee, update, and troubleshoot current WordPress and Shopify marketing and e-commerce platforms, emphasizing performance, security, accessibility, and adherence to SEO best practices.
• Create and improve sites utilizing WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, and BigCommerce by leveraging existing themes and frameworks, along with custom development when necessary.
• Convert UX/UI suggestions from Figma into precise, high-quality implementations in collaboration with design and digital teams.
• Construct, test, and launch marketing and email integrations, including Klaviyo and Mailchimp.
• Define project scopes alongside clients and account managers, evaluate complexity, provide time estimates, and identify risks, dependencies, and potential scope creep.
• Monitor project progression and facilitate communication across teams to ensure seamless transitions and aligned expectations.
• Establish, document, and maintain development standards and best practices throughout web projects.
• Assist fellow web developers through code reviews, technical support, and knowledge sharing.
• Keep thorough documentation, assets, and records for ongoing and completed tasks.
• Stay updated on web development trends and suggest enhancements to bolster The Digital Ring's web capabilities.
• Recognize process improvements that boost efficiency, profitability, and team capacity.
• Exhibit ownership, initiative, and the ability to prioritize across various client projects.
• Act as a technical resource, articulating technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with design, copy, digital, account management, and leadership teams.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional web development experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in a client-facing, multi-account agency environment.
• A bachelor's degree in Web Development, Graphic Design, or a related discipline.
• Proven professional experience with WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, Webflow, and familiarity with working from Figma files.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL.
• Experience with pre-built themes and corporate design systems.
• Knowledge of HubSpot, GTM, and Mailchimp integrations.
• Experience in SEO optimization and performance tuning.
• Demonstrated capability to accurately scope projects, estimate timelines, and evaluate budget implications.
• Strong project management abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities and shifting focus rapidly.
• Ability to function effectively amidst frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
• Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Previous experience mentoring or supporting other developers in an agency or team setting.
• A team-oriented approach, willing to mentor and support colleagues.
